As part of the evaluation of ASAPP and Northern Credit Union’s (“Northern”) strategic business needs over the past six months, the organizations have entered into a new operating model for their strategic relationship, effective as of the New Year.

As part of this updated model, Lucidia Ltd. re-assumes complete ownership and board direction for ASAPP Financial Technology Inc., its financial services subsidiary. Northern, meanwhile, is the first ASAPP Client-Partner to acquire a perpetual license to the ASAPP software (a new licensing option offered effective for 2020). This allows Northern to continue to leverage ASAPP for its omnichannel account and lending origination needs.

Northern and ASAPP have also signed a three-year strategic agreement that includes significant custom enhancements to ASAPP’s Omnichannel Experience Platform along with full-service Digital Agency Services delivery, whereby ASAPP will continue to serve as Northern’s marketing and web development Agency of Record.

While Northern no longer retains representatives on ASAPP’s Board or acts as a formal testing and deployment partner (post release of ASAPP 9.0 in late January), the credit union will continue to be at the forefront of ASAPP’s innovation as it has since day one with its significant and ongoing investment in ASAPP enhancements.

Northern and ASAPP will continue to produce market-leading and award-winning programs, similar to their prior innovative work that has included the Small Business Rocks program (2017 CCUA National Innovation Award winner) and the highly successful Plaid Friday and St. Plaidy’s Day flash sale campaigns (significant internal deposit growth).
