Winnipeg, MB, and Wainwright, AB – In partnership with Celero and fintech ASAPP Online Solutions Inc. (“ASAPP”), Me-Dian Credit Union in Manitoba and Encompass Credit Union in Alberta successfully launched ASAPP’s responsive online account opening solution with core banking system integration, enabling the credit unions with semi-autonomous account origination.

For Me-Dian, it is about utilizing technology to bridge the geographic divide, using digital tools to help reach underserved communities in Northern Manitoba. The credit union went live with ASAPP’s non-core integrated solution in September 2017 and upgraded the solution to include core system integration. Me-Dian’s account origination process is now highly automated, meaning staff members are experiencing improved workflow with fewer manual processes.

In the case of Encompass Credit Union, the goal was to roll out a customized and easy-to-use digital onboarding tool that reflects its brand, while helping grow the credit union’s business. ASAPP’s solution and track record of on-time implementations made the decision an easy one for Encompass Credit Union, and the staff are happy with the results the banking system integration has made possible.
